WordenGroup Public Relations rebrands as Word PR + Marketing

WordenGroup Public Relations has a new name that more accurately reflects its business: Word PR + Marketing, announced Anne McGregor Parsons, director of the boutique PR firm with offices in Jackson Hole and Denver.
“These days, PR is all about content. The written word is bigger than ever as we share across multiple channels,” says Parsons. “At Word, we’re experts at creating content and our new name just emphasizes that strength.”
In addition to the name change, Parsons, who is based in Denver, and Jackson Hole-based Account Manager Amy Stark, will take lead roles managing the company. The changes were spurred in part by WordenGroup founder Darla Worden accepting the editor in chief position at Mountain Living magazine.
“We had already been talking about changing the name for some time, so the management transition seemed like the perfect opportunity to announce it,” says Parsons.
“Anne and Amy have proven themselves to clients with their exemplary skills and service,” Worden says. “Word PR + Marketing will continue to deliver the outstanding results that WordenGroup created its reputation upon.”
In their new roles, Parsons will manage Denver operations and Stark will oversee the Jackson office and clients. Parsons’ pre-PR experience includes editorial work at Boston Magazine and five years as editor in chief of Colorado Homes & Lifestyles. She joined WordenGroup in 2003 and has worked closely with Worden to grow and evolve the company. Stark came on board in 2013 after working in unscripted television as a producer.
Word PR + Marketing will continue its focus on travel and tourism as well as art, architecture and design clients throughout the Rocky Mountain West. The firm’s carefully curated team of specialists leverages successful publishing and broadcast backgrounds to promote client stories and content through a wide variety of channels.
