Jackson Hole and Denver travel PR firm creates video to commemorate anniversary
April 10, 2016
WordenGroup Public Relations is turning 20 — and celebrating its birthday with a new video about the firm produced by New Thought Media Inc. In business since 1996, WordenGroup has worked with hotels and travel companies in Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, California and Washington as part of its travel PR niche. With offices in Denver, Colo., and Jackson Hole, Wyo., the boutique PR firm is poised to serve the public relations needs of travel businesses along with tourism, art, architecture and design clients in the Rocky Mountain West. To commemorate its two decades in a fast-paced industry, WordenGroup tapped its Jackson Hole neighbors at New Thought to create a video capturing the firm’s Western-rooted sense of place.
“I’m thrilled that we are thriving after 20 years in business,” says Darla Worden, WordenGroup PR founder and principal. “It speaks to our outstanding team of professionals who are constantly learning and adapting to stay current with rapidly changing PR tactics – and to longtime clients like the Antlers at Vail hotel, who have been with us through the many changes in public relations, from the old days of sending out news releases by mail to using the internet, wire services and social media to deliver news today. A video about our firm harnessing the fun new 3-D effect of motion-composite technology seemed an appropriate birthday present.”
Exciting milestones over WordenGroup’s past 20 years of business include seeing Jackson Hole’s Rusty Parrot Lodge & Spa named number one hotel in the U.S. and Canada by Travel + Leisure magazine readers and receiving a national PR award for the travel campaign launching The Lodge at Sun Ranch in Montana. Recently, the firm has seen Colorado’s Antlers at Vail receive a Vail Valley Platinum ranking, top TripAdvisor in its lodging category and be named a Best Ski Hotel for Families. Other WordenGroup successes include placing articles in the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times about the amazing homes designed by Colorado architects Arch11; helping The Landing Resort & Spa in Lake Tahoe debut its gorgeous new property with a star-studded grand opening party; and assisting the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival to grow into Jackson, Wyoming’s largest special event.
For its 20th-anniversary video, WordenGroup worked with New Thought Media to create a piece that captures the PR firm’s personality. New Thought Media used still photography provided by WordenGroup and its clients to create a 3-dimensional parallax effect that gives each image a unique sense of depth and motion.
